Strain is an alternative metal band formed in 2008 from Gorinchem. Their music has their roots from multiple genres, like metal, progressive and experimental rock. They are known for their hard grooving beats, havoc wrecking riffs, a melodic voice and wild shows. They are influenced by Tool, Karnivool and And So I Watch You From Afar.
As of now the 4-pieced band has performed on various small stages and festivals, opening for bands like ‘Raketkanon’.

With the release of their first EP ‘Think-O-land’, the band is busy with promoting their brand new music; 5 powerful songs, 30 minutes worth of climaxes and raw music. The EP was produced by Erik Sterk (KinKobra) at Studio 4205 and released under own management.
